The noise wall panels are typically rollformed into a 80mm deep trapezoidal profile from pre-galvanised or weathering steel in 1.6mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm thicknesses. Thicker profiles are also available in a variety of materials, including Colorbond®, Redcor®, stainless steel and aluminium, to suit specific project and design requirements.
Where an attractive appearance is required on both sides of the wall and/or where an even higher level of sound attenuation is necessary, the noise wall sections can easily be attached to both sides of a post.
Depending on the design of the wall, the panels can be laid horizontally, vertically or at an angle to achieve the desired architectural appearance. Each panel is square or mitre cut and pre-punched to tight tolerances to match the structural members of the wall.
The sound absorption properties of Australian Rollforming Manufacturers Noise Walls typically exceed the requirements of local road transport authorities (see graph below) which makes them suitable for a variety of applications.
With safety considerations at the forefront, the noise wall panels will be cut to lengths that can be safely handled onsite. As a finished product, the wall does not present a risk of climbing.
